Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is the most common leukemia in adults (approximately 15,000 new cases per year with about 90,000 living with disease in the US). Patients with this disease have a very poor prognosis.
LG768 is a cancer vaccine whereby the patient's cancer cells are treated with a lentiviral vector that delivers genes that stimulate the immune system to become more reactive against the cancer cells.
LG768 is currently in the research and development phase. Following demonstration of safety and efficacy in preclinical models, GMP production, animal toxicity testing and clinical trials will be initiated.
